Employers Deserve Better Data. That’s Why I’m Joining Peterson Health Analytics

Today I’m thrilled to share two exciting announcements. First, I am joining Peterson Health Analytics as its Managing Director. Secondly, we are launching Peterson Health Analytics!

While at 32BJ Health Fund, I spent years leveraging claims data to provide high quality and affordable benefits to my members. Yet, despite having access to more data than many employers, we still didn’t have access to the negotiated rates or a single source of truth to compare what we were paying against what other employers were paying in the same market.

This is why I’m joining Peterson Health Analytics (PHA).

PHA was created for employers, with employers, to help them secure the most affordable, high-quality healthcare possible for their workers and families. Backed by a $50 million commitment from Peterson Philanthropies, we combine federal price transparency data, employer claims data, and independent quality and safety ratings to give self-insured employers a clear, actionable picture of what their healthcare spending is actually buying — and where they can do better.

PHA is a public-benefit company that proudly takes no fees from health plans, TPAs, or consultants. It’s an unconflicted approach that’s rare in this space, and it matters enormously.
